Join Smart Works Scotland for an evening in celebration of fashion's power to build confidence and transform lives. Brought to you by the generous support of Dentons, International Hotel Group and The Times.

Acclaimed author and journalist, Justine Picardie joins Anna Murphy, Fashion Director of The Times, for a fireside conversation about style, storytelling and self-belief. The evening will be introduced by Smart Works Chair, Julietta Dexter, and will also feature shopping, a raffle and the opportunity to buy signed copies of Justine and Anna’s books.

About our speakers

Justine Picardie is a journalist, editor and author of six books, including the international bestseller Miss Dior: A Story of Courage and Couture, Coco Chanel: The Legend and the Life, and most recently, Fashioning the Crown. Previously editor-in-chief  of Harper's Bazaar, she was an investigative journalist for the Sunday Times, columnist for The Telegraph, editor of the Observer Magazine and features director of Vogue.

Anna Murphy has been Fashion Director of The Times since 2015, having previously launched Stella magazine at the Sunday Telegraph. She's the author of How Not To Wear Black and Destination Fabulous, and writes on the idea that what we choose to wear each morning shapes not just how we look, but how we feel.
