Heartwood are a trio of singers and instrumentalists creating new music born from time spent in wild places. All voices and levels of experience are welcome at our afternoon workshop (2-5pm), where Heartwood will teach rich vocal harmonies and inviting lyrics. Heidi Wilson, Sarina Partridge and Willy Clemetson first came together as a trio in 2021. Since then they have been touring the USA, teaching workshops and performing their original three-person musical, 'The Well Tree', a tale of a young woman moving beyond the fog of isolation to meet songbirds, snails and ancient trees as she finds her way home. The singing story is illustrated by a 'crankie' - an illuminated, papercut, hand-cranked scroll created by artist Jen Jones - and the audience will be invited to help sing pieces of the story!

Please note: The Well Tree musical is bookable as a standalone event, so feel free to invite friends and family to come and enjoy the evening performance (7-9pm), all ages welcome. Under 18s are also very welcome to attend the afternoon workshop if they are keen singers and able to learn by ear, but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
