Paddleboard session at Yoke Hill

Have you been wanting to try paddleboarding but unsure where to start, or if you will be able to do it? Don't want to pay for the kit before you know if you like it? Or maybe you've tried it before but want some instruction to master the skills? Then this session is for you!

At our beautiful setting of Yoke Hill Leisure, come and try paddleboarding with our qualified paddleboarding instructor, on our lake which is the perfect size for beginners (or intermediates wanting to try new skills). We will give you all the kit you need and tips to help you to balance, turn, and stand up if you want to!

Changing facilities are available, as well as hot drinks and refreshments in our on-site cafe.

We provide:

*Paddleboard, paddle and leash hire

*Lifejacket (mandatory to wear)

You need:

*Closed toe shoes

*A change of clothes and a towel (changing rooms are available)

*Clothes suitable for being on the water, lightweight in case you fall in (jeans or heavy clothing are not acceptable) - we do not provide wetsuits but you are welcome to wear your own

*To be able to swim 25m unaided, confident swimming in open water

Please note this event is for ages 12 and over, anyone under 18 needs to have a responsible adult with them at all times (on the water or on the bank). Maximum weight is 150kg. We have Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance but would recommend you having personal insurance for this kind of event. Health details must be given as part of sign up and the activity waiver below read and agreed to.

Refund policy: if we need to cancel due to weather we will offer alternative dates, if no alternative can be agreed then any monies paid will be fully refunded. We will refund the session cost but are not liable for any other expenses incurred. If you need to cancel, this has to be more than 48 hours before the event otherwise we are unable to give a refund.

Activity waiver (please read and confirm at sign up that you have agreed to the below):

1. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I acknowledge that participating in stand-up paddleboarding (“SUP”) with Soar Development Ltd involves inherent risks including, but not limited to:

• Falling into the water, drowning, or near-drowning
• Slips, trips, or falls on wet or uneven surfaces
• Impact or collision with other participants, paddleboards, objects, or watercraft
• Exposure to changing weather, tides, and currents
• Injuries from improper use of equipment
• Physical exertion which may cause injury or exacerbate existing medical conditions

I understand these risks and accept full responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss I may sustain.

2. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I hereby waive, release and discharge Soar Development Ltd, its directors, instructors, staff, contractors, agents, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to injury, death, or damage to person or property resulting from my participation in any paddleboarding lesson or related activity, including those caused by negligence.

3. HEALTH & FITNESS DECLARATION

I confirm that I am in good health and physically able to participate in SUP activities. I have informed Soar Development Ltd of any medical conditions, injuries, or medications that could affect my ability to safely take part in paddleboarding.

I agree to update the instructor of any relevant changes to my health or fitness.

4. SAFETY AND EQUIPMENT AGREEMENT

I agree to:

- Follow all instructions provided by Soar Development Ltd staff.
- Wear a personal flotation device (buoyancy aid) and quick release waist belt at all times on the water.
- Comply with all health and safety protocols during the session.
- Respect other participants, wildlife, and the natural environment.

- Use any equipment provided by Soar Development Ltd responsibly and as instructed

Failure to comply may result in my immediate removal from the activity without refund. I understand that I am responsible for any damage to or loss of equipment caused by my negligence or misuse.
