SOAR Special Needs is hosting a FREE 3-hour respite for parents of individuals with special needs! We will also have a simultaneous program for siblings from birth - 13 years old. Dinner will be provided, and we will provide a full medical and behavior teams to welcome all individuals of every age, diagnosis, and severity.

Hosted by Connection Point Church located at 10500 E State Rte 350, Raytown, MO 64138.

We know that respite is a huge need for our families. We will be providing respite events monthly to meet the needs of as many families as possible.

Paperwork: All participants must fill out and return a Plan of Care and Consent form one week before the event. If a Plan of Care and Consent form is not received a week before the event, your spot will be given to someone else. SOAR Plan of Care and Consent forms are valid for one full year from the completion date. Plan of Care and Consent forms can be found HERE.

Cancellation Policy: If you are no longer able to attend the event and you let us know 7 days prior, you can still sign up for a future R&R in 2026. If you cancel within 6 days of the event date, you will need to wait until all families have attended a 2026 R&R before you can attend, except for special considerations determined by SOAR staff.

Waitlist: We have a limited number of spots on the waitlist. Once the waitlist is full, you will need to wait and sign up for the next R&R. Placement on the waitlist does NOT guarantee you a spot at the next respite event. You will need to sign up with the general pool for any future respite events.

PLEASE NOTE: Your individual(s) with special needs must be signed up for their siblings to attend! Once a participant's time slot is full, that time slot is no longer available, even if a sibling slot is still open in that time slot.
