SOARing for the Son SOAR Summer Day Camp is the week of July 18-22, 2022! Our theme is Outer Space. This camp is Grace Church (8500 W 159th St Overland Park, KS 66223). Volunteers can serve anywhere from a half-day to all week. Camp is from 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday. We need volunteers to be buddies to individuals with special needs, medical team, crafts, sensory, outdoor games, check-in, and more. As a volunteer, Camp includes lunch every day. Those who serve at least 3 full days get a free camp t-shirt. Volunteers must be going into 6th grade and older to volunteer.

If you are 18 or older (by camp), and have not completed a background check with us within the past 3 years, you must submit a background check at least 3 business days in advance of the event. A background check application from SOAR Special Needs will be sent to you after you register.

We want to ensure the health and safety of everyone with the ongoing concerns of COVID-19. We will be doing daily temperature checks for all staff, volunteers, and campers. We no longer require masks and will take advice from CDC and local authorities on masks. We will have extensive daily cleaning.
