Help us bless and serve our community on June 21st SOAR Social Club event. June's Social Club will be hosted at the SOAR office (12201 W 88th Street, Lenexa, KS 66215). We are accepting only 20 participants. . Volunteers are needed during the following time slot:

• Tuesday,June 21st from 5:30-9:00 PM

We need volunteers to serve as group buddies to these higher functioning teens and adults. We will be serving them dinner and offer games and a movie. This social club is to help or participants build community and relationships among their peers.

Background Check: If you are 18 or older (by Social Club) and have not completed a background check with us within the past 3 years, you must submit a background check at least 1 week in advance of the event. A background check application from SOAR Special Needs will be sent to you after you register.

Training: All volunteers must complete a short video training and answer training questions prior to volunteering. Training videos and questions can be found HERE.

COVID-19: We want to ensure the health and safety of everyone with the ongoing concerns of COVID-19. We will be doing temperature checks for all staff, volunteers, and participants. We no longer require masks and will take advice from CDC and local authorities on masks. We will have extensive cleaning in between each respite event. If you are able to stay a little later than our volunteer time slot we would appreciate your help cleaning the facility for the next event.
