Bluff City HBCU Classic

Welcome to the Bluff City HBCU Classic — a championship golf experience at

TPC Southwind, home of the FedEx St. Jude Championship, presented by the

Social Golf Association.

This is more than a round of golf. It’s a celebration of community, culture,

and legacy — bringing together HBCU alumni, executives, professionals, and

golf enthusiasts from across the country on one of the most prestigious

courses in the country.

THE FORMAT

• 4-person scramble.
• Shotgun start at 11:00 AM.
• Gross scoring — no handicap required.
• Open field — all skill levels welcome.
• Maximum field: 30 foursomes (120 players).
• Spots are limited and will fill fast.

THE CAUSE

50% of gross event revenue supports the $100,000 Bluff City HBCU Classic

Grant Fund — providing equipment, travel, and scholarships for four HBCU

golf programs: Fisk University, Tennessee State University, LeMoyne-Owen

College, and Florida A&M University.

THE EVENING

Stay for the 19th Hole Reception and Legacy Ceremony — live music, Memphis

cuisine, and the $100,000 grant presentation to our HBCU partners.

YOUR COMMITMENT TO THE CAUSE

All registration fees are non-refundable. As a 501(c)(3) organization,

proceeds from the Bluff City HBCU Classic directly support SGA’s Fairway

Fund — funding equipment, travel, and scholarships for HBCU golf programs

at Fisk University, Tennessee State University, LeMoyne-Owen College, and

Florida A&M University. Your commitment to this event is a commitment to

that mission. Every registration puts resources directly into the hands of

student-athletes who represent the next generation of leaders in and beyond

the game. We are grateful for your investment in this community and in the

legacy we are building together.

Player substitutions within your registered foursome are welcome at any time

RAIN OR SHINE POLICY 
The Bluff City HBCU Classic is a rain or shine event. All registrations are final and non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the Social Golf Association due to circumstances beyond our control. In that case, registrants will receive a full refund or credit toward a future SGA event.
