Hands On: Short Films & Chit Chat

Join us for a relaxed and welcoming film night celebrating the many ways we connect with the world through making, mending and doing. In the cosy surrounds of Arfefact, we’ll watch a couple of short films and longer film after the break that shine a light on hands-on creativity and the quiet satisfaction of building and fixing things ourselves.

After the films, there will be time for an informal conversation about making and doing, exploring why it matters, how it supports more sustainable ways of living and why it can be so good for our wellbeing too. Come along, get comfortable and enjoy an evening of thoughtful films and good company.

What will the evening look like?

Doors will open at 6:00pm so you can grab a drink and settle in before the films start at 6:30pm. 

During the evening we’ll be watching a range of short films selected to help us think a little be more about what it means to be 'hands on'  at the wonderful Artefact on Roscoe St.

The films will finish by 9pm but you're more than welcome to grab a drink and spend some time in Artefact after the showing, as you reflect on the films you've seen with local, likeminded people,

What does the ticket include?

Tickets are just £4 and include a welcome treat of a small bar of Tony’s Chocolonely on arrival for you enjoy during the films (or save for later) and a free can of Black Lodge beer, proudly brewed right here in Liverpool, served during the interval.

Who’s this event for? 

This will be a really informal event for anyone who wants to meet new people while chatting all things people, planet and sustainably. Or anyone who simply fancies a bit of company on a Thursday night. Feel free to bring friends and family along too!
