A Total (Solar) Eclipse + Sound Journey

Eclipse season is here, and we've got some shedding to do.

On August 12, there's a total New Moon solar eclipse in Leo, and we are going to prepare for it together. At Social Studyz, that means asking, “How does showing up as our fullest, most creative selves actually serve the communities around us?” We'll spend time practicing letting go of the need for external validation, the masks we put on to perform for others, and the pride that gets in the way of real connection.

We'll reflect both individually and as a group: a dedicated space to sit with what's been on your mind, and say it out loud to people who are genuinely listening. If this kind of gathering is new to you, that's more than welcome — you don't need any experience with astrology, reflection work, or group sharing to belong here.

To close things out, Carla Garcia — a licensed therapist, sound healer, and born-and-raised Angeleno — will lead us through a sound journey to help integrate our reflections and prepare for the months ahead.

What to expect: We'll open with intros, some individual reflection time, and a group reflection. We’ll close with a guided sound journey led by Carla. 

Parking: Plenty of neighborhood street parking is available.

What to bring: A journal, something to write with, and a mat if you have one — we'll also have mats, drinks, and snacks on hand.
