An Afternoon at Sake School: Pour One Out for Small Talk

We're heading to sake school!

OTOTO is a James Beard Award–winning sake bar in Echo Park, deeply rooted in the traditions of Japan and inspired by the local community here. They pour from a selection of 50+ sakes, and we're pulling up a seat.

We'll join them for Sake School, where the sensei will walk us through 3-4 sakes chosen around a specific theme. Then, we'll settle in over small bites and have a conversation that goes beyond "so, what do you do." Expect real talk! laughter, and the kind of connection that usually takes more than one meal to get to.  

A couple notes on the evening:
Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening, if you'd like more than what's included.

At this time there's no NA tasting option available, though it's something we're looking into for future events. 

What to expect: We'll start with a sake tasting led by the sensei, followed by small bites and a group conversation.

Parking: Parking in the neighborhood can sometimes be tricky — add 10 minutes of travel time to account for it. There's also an $11 valet available.
