Description
Using Colour for Effective Storytelling - with Rekha Salin
Are you overwhelmed by the rules of the colour wheel? Tired of sticking to the same set of colours to avoid the endless options? Disappointed with the way your colours are printing after working hard on your previously vivid illustrations?
Then this is the Masterclass for you!
Join master colourist Rekha Salin in an insightful session that will expand your concepts of colour storytelling. Improve your narrative with a simple way of understanding how colours convey emotion. You will explore colour harmony, mood, and emotional storytelling; learn how to build a palette according to the narrative and your character's personality; and understand the differences between RGB and CMYK, including how and when to use them!
REKHA SALIN is an illustrator and storyteller from India living in Bahrain with her husband and two kids. She has five books published as an illustrator, is currently working with Puffin Books, which will be out in 2025. Other clients include - Oxford University Press, Gnome Road Publishing. She works both traditionally and digitally, taking joy in giving characters a place and a world that makes the reader laugh, cry, think, empower or just be silly.
