Psychedelic rock may have emerged in the West, but its sound has travelled beyond its origins, taking on new identities. From the electrifying Tuareg guitars of Mdou Moctar's Afrique Victime to the hypnotic Thai molam influences of Khana Bierbood's Strangers from the Far East, and Kikagaku Moyo's borderless blend of Indian sitar, German krautrock and Brazilian grooves. Through three vinyl records, Softerfields explores how musical cultures have reimagined psychedelia through their traditions and influences.
Hosted in The Den at The Warehouse Hotel, an intimate listening space along the Singapore River.
