Film Double Bill: Where The Old Man Lives & Muck

In association with Maglite Films and Red King Productions, we are delighted to bring you two incredible short films with a local interest.

‘Where The Old Man Lives’ is an award winning short film written by Ruaidhri Hallinan and starring Michael Harding, Ruth McCabe and Michael Patric . It tells the story of an old man, living in fear and isolation, who risks everything to protect himself from dangerous intruders.

The second short film of the evening, ‘Muck’ featured in Galway Film Fleadh’s Best of the West selection in 2025. It’s a dark folk horror piece written and directed by Barra Convery, produced by Ruaidhri Hallinan, and filmed in March of 2025 in Ballycurrin House.

The evening will also feature a short questions and answers session with Glencorrib resident, Ruaidhri Hallinan, who began writing for screen during 2020.
