Kantos Quartet

An exciting new string quartet comprising four of the country's finest and most experienced musicians, the Kantos Quartet presents a programme which looks both to music of the 1920s and to the upcoming bi-centenary of Beethoven’s death in 1827. Their programme includes an early Beethoven quartet, alongside a work by Pulitzer prize-winning contemporary American composer Caroline Shaw, which uses this work as its "blueprint", and will conclude with Janáček’s Kreutzer Sonata quartet, inspired by Tolstoy's novella of the same name.
