WordSong Prize Winners' Concert
Song in the City is delighted to be hosting WordSong (formerly AESS) for their annual Prizewinners' Concert.
The astonishingly talented young people who have won the prestigious prizes run by the WordSong over the last year come together in a showcase concert. WordSong runs five competitions in a year: for singers in three age-ranges (13-18, 18-23, 23-34), for pianists, for young actors, and for young composers. These competitions are nation-wide and the young people who have won this year have achieved something very impressive. They're all fine performers. This will be a glorious event showing talented young people revelling in the glories of the English language in Speech and Song.
WordSong members comprise performers, teachers and those with an interest in our core aim, which is: ‘to encourage the communication of English words, in singing and speech, with clarity, understanding and imagination’. WORDSONG WEBSITE
