Songways Bath Wednesday evenings Autumn term

Sing in our Bath Songways choir on Wednesday evenings led by Jane Harris in the beautiful and spacious St Swithin's Church.

Expect a warm welcome and rewarding singing sessions filled with a wide variety of songs, rich harmonies, infectious fun and moments of stillness. There are no auditions and there is no need to read music – Jane teaches all the songs and harmonies by ear.

"We relish the energy, vibrancy and variety of the songs we sing in Songways and are excited by the way singing in harmony can take us into dramatically different sound worlds. Jane plays the violin and we love to collaborate with instrumental musicians for some of our songs. Singing with Songways is a chance to develop your voice, increasing range and resonance, and exploring new singing styles."

If you're new to Songways, you are welcome to book for a taster session £10, and then for the remainder of the term if you decide to join. Or if you're happy to, please go ahead and book for a half term or term. We look forward to welcoming you.

Membership includes access to learning tracks on the Members' page of the Songways website.

PERFORMANCES this term
If you prefer to just enjoy the Wednesday evening sessions at St Swithin's and not to take part in the performances that absolutely fine. :)

  Ripple Effect Christmas Celebration
  The Bath Songways choir will be performing three songs as part of this special supporter evening.
  5:45 - 6:15pm Songways rehearsal in the Abbey - we'll be able to arrive from 5:30pm

Concert for the combined Bath and Bradford on Avon choirs

• Saturday 12 December 4pm | St Luke's Church, Bath BA2 2BD
  Concert with guest instrumentalists tbc
  12:45 - 1:45pm Songways rehearsal
  2 - 3pm Songways rehearsal of several songs with guest instrumentalists
  4 - 5pm Songways performance, joined by guest instrumentalists for several songs
  

All Wednesday singers who are available are also very welcome to sing on:

• Friday 11 December 11:15 - 11:45am | Performance at the Christmas Tree Festival (tbc)
  Holy Trinity, Bradford on Avon
  9:30 - 11am Rehearsal | United Church (tbc)
  No extra charge, no need to book.

AUTUMN TERM MEMBERSHIP

• £110 Whole term (11 sessions):
  
  Wednesdays 23, 30 September, 7 14, 21 October
  No session Wednesday 28 October (half term break)
  Wednesdays 4, 11, 18, 25 November, **MONDAY 30 November, Wednesday 9 December
  **This session will be on the Monday evening as we will be performing in Bath Abbey on Wednesday 2 December.

  *Singer contribution to costs. Concert will be free admission for audience with a retiring collection for charity - tbd

If you book for the half term or term and you miss a Wednesday session you are welcome to come to a Friday morning session at Holy Trinity in Bradford on Avon to make up.
