Sonic Boom Music CIC is a music-led cultural organisation and festival platform based in Burton upon Trent, created to support grassroots music, young people, and independent music culture year-round.

At its core, Sonic Boom Music CIC does three things:

Champions grassroots music

Sonic Boom Music CIC creates stages, events, and festivals that showcase emerging and local artists, alongside experienced performers. This includes free public festivals, ticketed gigs, and themed event series' that help artists build real audiences.

Develops young people and future creatives

Through learning programmes, paid opportunities, and hands-on production roles, Sonic Boom Music CIC enables young people to gain skills, qualifications (such as Arts Award), and confidence in music, events, and the creative industries.

Builds community through culture

Sonic Boom Music CIC works with partners to deliver accessible, inclusive events that bring people together, boost town-centre culture, and create positive social impact.

Why it exists

Sonic Boom Music CIC exists to remove barriers in music and live events - making culture something people can take part in, not just consume - while helping towns like Burton upon Trent to develop a sustainable, year-round music ecosystem.
