Unless specified otherwise, entrance to all public events is strictly by prepaid ticket only, due to capacity restrictions imposed by our insurance policy.

Ticket Tailor will automatically stop selling tickets once the maximum number of tickets has been reached. This is 100 tickets for an indoor event, and 500 tickets for an outdoor event.  Since tickets are sold on a "first come" basis, please book early to avoid disappointment.

To ensure a smooth transition, and allow time for regular visitors to adjust to this new system, the Committee will sell advance tickets in-person until the end of 2024.  These can be purchased at SVH's monthly breakfast event from 10 am -  12 noon.  However, from 2025, in-person tickets are strictly intended for those without access to the internet and/or a smart phone.  I.e. the elderly and those in financial hardship.

Both Ticket Tailor and Soudley Village Hall will never share your contact details with third parties, except in the case of an emergency evacuation.

A “prepaid ticket only” policy offers many advantages for both parties, namely:

• Enables the Committee to quickly promote a list of future events. Each link will describe the event, the relevant start and finish times, what refreshments will be available etc.  Any amendments can be incorporated at short notice.

• Guarantees your booking, thereby avoiding disappointment on the night in case of a sell-out.

• Your tickets will automatically be generated and emailed to you as a PDF attachment. To speed up the check-in process, please have your tickets ready for scanning upon arrival. The scanners can accept both printed copies and on-screen copies.

• Enables the Committee to know in advance the exact number of persons that will be attending. This means that they can plan ahead with table names and seating layout. It also means the Committee can be more accurate when predicting catering requirements, which will help to reduce both food and beverage wastage.

• Reduces queuing time on arrival by avoiding the need to process individual payments at the entrance.

• Reduces the Committee’s need to visit a bank to deposit cash takings.

• Functions as a real-time attendance register in case of an emergency evacuation.

• Enables the Committee to send you urgent messages in rare cases of cancellation or postponement due to poor weather.

• Enables the Committee to process prompt refunds without needing your payment details, since your payment details are securely retained by Ticket Tailor, who are PCI DSS Level 1 Compliant.
