Festive Gong Gathering
Sun 24 Nov 2024 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
St Margaret's Hall, EH49 7JA
Description
Join us for an evening of gong magic: the chance to bliss out with a range of different gongs played by Morag of Sound Balance Scotland and Lindsey of Yoga-nu-u.
You'll get to experience all the subtleties and the myriad of vibrations from a range of gong sounds from 4 different gongs. This one takes place in Linlithgow on Sunday 24th November in the lovely St Margaret's Hall just after the Low Port centre at the east end of the town.
A gong bath is a chance to experience deep feelings of relaxation. It will enable your body to be lulled into a deep meditative state. It will simply involve sitting or lying down (depending on your physical abilities and level of comfort) and receiving the sound and vibrations from various beautiful instruments. The sounds will be gentle and relaxing allowing your body the chance to really let go. This enables the body's natural healing capacities to be activated.
We will finish by sharing festive nibbles and hot chocolate.
Please bring your own mats, pillows and blankets. There are also chairs available for anyone unable to lie on the floor.
Not suitable for anyone with Sound Induced Epilepsy, pregnant women, unmanaged Bipolar Disorder or psychosis. A gong bath should not be undertaken under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
If you have any health conditions please let Lindsey or me know in advance so that we can adapt our playing to suit your needs.
Lindsey has been a yoga teacher for nearly 20 years with a particular interest in making yoga accessible to all. She also loves working with sound and has her own range of lovely instruments including singing bowls, koshi chimes, a shruti box, a harmonium as well as her lovely wind gong.
Morag has undergone extensive training in sound healing and gongs including Gong Master training with gong pioneer, Don Conreaux and UK flumi expert Bear Love. She is also a tutor with the Sound Healing Academy.
