Having performed across Europe with Matthew Herbert, worked as a guest conductor and arranger for the Grammy-award-winning Metropole Orkest, and been invited to collaborate on projects in Belgium, Netherlands, Ireland, and the UK, Meadows is taking his original music on the road for the first-time post-pandemic and would love the opportunity to play for you! The regular line-up showcases four musicians from across the UK, who met through London’s creative Southeast London jazz scene: Phil Meadows on sax and electronics, Michael De Souza on guitar, Joe Downard on electric bass and Jay Davis on drums. The music combines soaring melodies, atmospheric soundscapes, and head-nodding grooves; inspired by the sounds of Bill Frisell, Donny McCaslin, GoGo Penguin and Bill Laurance.
