Award winning guitarist Phil Robson returns to SoundCellar with Hammond organ virtuoso Ross Stanley and the inspiring and powerful drummer Gene Calderazzo to present his all-star trio. Influenced by such legends as Pat Martino, Wes Montgomery and John McLaughlin, you will hear powerful melodies, grooves and burning improv all melded together by the formidable blend of guitar and Hammond, driven by Gene's dynamic drumming.

Phil Robson is a UK born, multi-award-winning guitarist & composer who was a seminal part of the London scene for many years before relocating to New York City in 2015 for five years. He is now based in Co. Roscommon, Ireland. He has led bands featuring jazz legends such as David Liebman, Mark Turner, Billy Hart, James Genus, Marc Copland & many more as well as working as a freelance musician with a huge cross spectrum of internationally renowned artists such as Kenny Wheeler, Barbra Streisand, Steve Lacy, Vince Mendoza, Donny McCaslin, Django Bates, The BBC Big Band, Ingrid Jenson, Phil Woods, Mike Gibbs, Bob Brookmeyer, Steve Wilson Maceo Parker, etc.

In Europe he is renowned as the co-leader of the cult UK band ‘Partisans’ with saxophonist Julian Siegel which ran for 23 years as well as for his work with his partner, the great singer/songwriter Christine Tobin. In New York he is best known for his collaboration with the master saxophonist/composer Jed Levy. He's also a 'Babel Label', 'Whirlwind Recordings' and ‘Lyte Records’ recording artist with highly acclaimed albums who performs at major venues and festivals around the world as well as being a renowned educator who is an honorary ARAM (Associate of the Royal Academy of Music) in London.
