On Saturday 18th July 2026 SoundCellar collaborated with The Swanage Jazz Festival to bring you three amazing contemporary Jazz performances. These are the recordings from those performances together with a few bonus tracks from other performances that also took place in the Marquee in Sandpit field over a sunny weekend in Swanage.
These recordings can be watched immediately and will be available until 31st August 2026

Ivo Neame is an internationally renowned pianist, composer, and bandleader who has established himself as one of the most innovative and dynamic figures in the contemporary jazz scene.
He is best known for his creative contributions to the award-winning bands Phronesis and the Marius Neset Quintet; as a sideman he has collaborated with numerous other artists such as Hermeto Pascoal, Kenny Wheeler and Marc Guiliana. Ivo's music is characterised by a stunning mix of virtuosity, sophistication, and playfulness - his performances are known
Rob Luft/Chris Batchelor Quartet
Rob Luft: Guitar | Chris Batchelor: Trumpet Tom Farmer: Bass | Finn Genockey: Drums Rob's virtuosity has been compared to that of six-string legends John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola & Paco De Lucia. He was the Instrumentalist of the Year at the UKParliamentary Jazz Awards 2025.
A leading light of the hugely popular and influential big band Loose Tubes, Chris has gone on to play in the bands of international stars such as Michael Brecker, Hermeto Pascoal, John Taylor, Sam Rivers and Uri Caine. He currently leads the popular avant-trad band Pigfoot, which is dedicated to interpreting popular repertoire, and Zoetic, a chamber jazz group featuring his long term Loose Tubes colleague John Parricelli on guitar.
Al Swainger's Pointless Beauty With Special Guest Theo Travis

Al is a composer and bassist who doesn't just create music - he reimagines it. He crafts an ever-shifting soundscape where jazz, electronica, and ambient textures crash together in unexpected ways, familiar yet utterly new.
Theo is now best known as a member of the legendary Jazz-Rock band Soft Machine. He is also a prolific composer and band leader of the Jazz Fusion band Double Talk. He has performed ambient music with Robert Fripp, collaborated with guitarist Bill Nelson and worked with space-rock band Gong amongst others. Theo steps in for Pointless Beauty regular Gary Aylesford.
Due to technical reasons this recording only contains the first 52 minutes of the gig.
