On Saturday the 4th July 2026 at the Holywood Rugby Club, Belfast we  look forward to celebrating and sharing our wonderful South African hospitality, culture, heritage, music and our incredible selection of the finest food and cuisine at Ireland's favourite South African Community and Family Day in Belfast, Northern Ireland. 

Make sure to invite your friends and family and join us for another fun-filled summer's day as we gather in and around our large marquee tent and stage for some amazing entertainment and live rugby on the big screen Springboks vs England and live music from some local and international music artists. 

We also look forward to welcome two of South Africa's finest musicians and stars Jo Black & Refentse for a special evening show to remember!

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMMUNITY DAY:

Last year we welcomed over 2500+ guests, and this year we are expecting another well attended gathering with some more entertainment for all ages. DJ & MC Clint Carlson will be back to entertain us again with some of your favourite South African Vibes with plenty of live music from local Irish and international artists. We will have loads of fun for children of all ages with plenty of bouncy castles and assault courses, petting zoo and loads of entertainment, competitions and fun activities! 

Every year we have several quality food vendors and artists selling some arts and crafts and some of the very best and ''lekker'' local  Southern African food and cuisine. Come and try some Durban Bunny Chows, Vetkoek, Gourmet Prego Rolls, and some of the finest Boerewors rolls from local butchers and award winning food vendors. Biltong from award winning biltong producers Moorcroft Biltong and Kenako Biltong among several top Irish & South African food producers. We will have plenty of South African goods again from www.sagroceries.co.uk, and also some of your favourite desserts, koeksisters, milk tarts, peppermint crisp tarts, Malva pudding, rusks and some local favourites.

Saturday parking £3 per at Sullivan's Upper to be paid at gate upon arrival.

  • Sullivan car park closes at 8pm on Saturday evening! So please, do NOT park in the car park if you are joining the evening ''Bok Jol'' show!

Bring your chair, picnic blanket, your neighbour and friends, and come and enjoy this festive day with us!

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:

  • The Holywood Rugby Club is accessible via public transport. Bus stops near Holywood Road (Park Avenue) and other nearby locations are a short walk from the club. The club also offers free parking on the side roads Holywood train station is close to the venue. If we can encourage all


    PARKING:

    Car park closes at 8pm! Please p
    ark at your own risk at Sullivan Upper School or on all side roads in and around the area. Please not that the SA Day team will not be held liable for any accidents or incidents on the premises or in any carparks.
  • Sullivan Car Park £3 for the day. Please pay after you parked to parking marshal at gate at car park . 
  • Please note that Sullivan Upper Car park opens at 10am and closes sharp at 8pm Free parking will be available on and off Belfast road, High street and carpark available off Belfast Road and surrounding areas.
