Facilitator - Mamie Hutt-Temoana

With over 40 years as non-profit leader and manager, Mamie is the former CEO of the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of British Columbia, one of the largest non- profits in the province with over 500 staff and 350 programs reaching more than 50,000 beneficiaries a year. Mamie’s career also includes Vice-President of the International Federation of 300 Settlement Houses, Executive Director for non-profits in Ontario and Director of multi-country programs and partnerships in Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and Indonesia.

She is the former President of the Pender Island Chamber of Commerce. In 2014, Mamie opened the Salmonberry Inn in the Southern Gulf Islands receiving 5 hospitality awards.

Mamie received her degrees in Planning and International Development and is currently a Consultant to Non-Profits and Foundations helping to build solid organizations while solving unique issues. She is dedicated to fostering the knowledge of best practices in community organizations. Her goal is to engage people and enhance social capital to develop sustainable communities
