Welcome to our Cygnet Parent Support course booking page. This course will take place on Friday mornings for 7 weeks, starting from 12 January 2024, at Baileys Court Activity Centre in Bradley Stoke. Please note the following:
- You MUST have a diagnosis that your child has Autism from a professional
- You MUST live in South Gloucestershire
If you meet this criteria, please read the following before booking your place.
This course will be delivered face to face weekly on the following dates (Please note you need to attend all 7 sessions):
Friday's from 10.00am - 12.30pm
12 January 2024, 19 January 2024, 26 January 2024, 2 February 2024, 9 February 2024,
(skip 16 February for half term), 23 February 2024, 1 March 2024.
The Cygnet parent programme is an evidence-based programme specifically designed for parents and carers of children and young people aged 5-18 with a confirmed diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Conditions.
The Cygnet parent programme covers:
- Understanding autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and how it affects your child
- Improving communication with your child
- Developing knowledge of sensory issues and strategies to use with your child
- Understanding and supporting your child's behaviour
The Cygnet course provides you with an opportunity to meet other parents in similar situations, learn from each other and share your experiences in a warm and friendly environment.
This programme is funded by South Gloucestershire Council.
