Welcome to our Cygnet Parent Support course booking page for the online course starting in May 2024.
Please note the following:
- You MUST have a diagnosis that your child has Autism from a professional
- You MUST live in South Gloucestershire.
If you meet this criteria, please read the following before booking your place.
This course will take place online, using Zoom. The entire course lasts for 7 weeks and finishes in July 2024. You need to attend all 7 sessions.
Wednesday evenings from 7.00pm-8.30pm
15 May, 22 May, 5 June, 12 June, 19 June, 26 June, 3 July (we skip 29 May for half-term).
The Cygnet Parent Support programme is an evidence-based programme specifically designed for parents and carers of children and young people aged 5-18 with a confirmed diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Conditions. It covers:
- Understanding autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and how it affects your child
- Improving communication with your child
- Developing knowledge of sensory issues and strategies to use with your child
- Understanding and supporting your child's behaviour
The Cygnet course provides you with an opportunity to meet other parents in similar situations, learn from each other and share your experiences in a warm and friendly environment.
