The 4th SLA Summer Long Metrics Open

South Leeds Archers invite you to their 4th Summer Long Metrics Open.  A Non-Record Status Competition to be held on Sunday 14th June 2026. Assembly is at 11am and the venue gates open at 9:30am.

The round shot is the Long Metric series of rounds which consist of 3 dozen arrows at two distances on the 122cm faces and 10-zone scoring. There will be a lunch break after the first distance and the available rounds are as follows:

Long Metric 1 - 70m and 60m, Long Metric 2 - 60m and 50m, Long Metric 3 - 50m and 40m, Long Metric 4 - 40m and 30m and Long Metric 5 - 30m and 20m

Awards

Medals according to entry (all ages across all rounds). Archers can enter any distance they feel comfortable shooting as we expect the shoot will be popular with novices and we welcome everyone to enter.

Additional Awards

• Trophy  for the highest score by Lady and Gent shooting the Long Metric 1 by bow type.
• Trophy for the highest score by Under 18s shooting the Long Metric 2 by bow type.
• Trophy for the highest score by Under 16s shooting the Long Metric 3 by bow type.
• Trophy for the highest score by Under 14s shooting the Long Metric 4 by bow type.
• Trophy for the highest score by Under 12s shooting the Long Metric 5 by bow type

Can recipients from last years tournament please return them on the day or prior to the event if not attending.

• AGB dress regulations (rule 307) and rules of shooting will apply.
• Proof of AGB membership may be requested on the day.
• SLA will have a photographer on site and we will publish the pictures via our social media and website platforms.
• Under the provisions within the Archery GB Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy, those who wish to take photographs at this event are to register with the organisers on arrival.
• Data protection – When you enter competitions the following information may be collected and shared with tournament organisers, scoring systems and other competitors for example target list and results may be published: First name, Surname, Gender, Bow Style, Age category, Club, County
• Foam bosses are used with target nappies if required. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to equipment or personal possessions.
• Please specify any Special requirements on the entry form e.g. the need to stay on the line and will accommodate your needs but this may not be possible if you inform us on the day.
• Closing date for entries is 31st May 2026. No refunds for cancellations will be given after the closing date
