The second instalment of our Fresco Wine Festivus shines a bright light on all things Francais.

Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace and Champagne have long been household names, associated with prestige and the price tag to match, but in the last 40 years France’s wine landscape has undergone a transformation with the spotlight being turned on regions and grapes that are often overshadowed by the prestige and market recognition of the bigger names.

Due to dedicated importers and distributors here at home, regions like Beaujolais, the Loire Valley and Languedoc are now becoming ever more popular on Australian wine lists, and there has never been a better time to celebrate the unsung heroes of the French wine world.

Once again, the luscious jungle surrounds of Southside & Kiki sets the scene for another sold-out affair in South Brisbane, with a $65PP ticket opening the door to three hours of bottomless tastings as you work your way through 60+ wines from our favourite French importers and distributors. You’ll also be able purchase your favourite drops of the day by the glass alongside margaritas, mojitos and beers over the bar in Kiki.

Want to take a bottle (or ten) home?

Head to Kiki and grab your vin-shaped souvenirs from the bar. Half Moon will also be offering Free Delivery for all orders placed for showcased wines on the day.

Southside has you covered with a curated menu of Dim Sum and substantial bar snacks.

Drinks will continue to flow at the festival afterparty kicking off from 3pm, with special guest DJs keeping the French Touch theme alive well into the night.
