Art should be for everyone, but sadly we do not always feel that way. This course is about relaxing and enjoying the process of creating - letting go of things that get in the way of full creative expression, such as perfectionism and comparison. No pressure to create a masterpiece, and more about finding the right place in your mind to set your creativeness free.
Stef will create a friendly, informal space in which she will guide you through relaxing into the process, exploring and experimenting with the joy of colour, composition and experiment with a wide range of media throughout the day.
This course is suitable for complete beginners to experienced artists that would like to refresh their practice and explore new possibilities.
Materials will be provided for this workshop as part of the booking cost.
Stefanie Smith is a contemporary wildlife painter/printmaker. She is inspired by the landscape and natural environment, both locally and those that she seeks out on regular wanderings around Britain. She divides her time between observing and savouring what each season has to offer - providing inspiration for printmaking and painting that she exhibits regularly, and that of her work as an art teacher, creating images for literature and teaching regularly for The National Trust and other organisations.
