This one day course will encourage you to further develop a broad brush and expressive approach to colour in painting the landscape. You will explore different techniques to achieve expressive effects with acrylics experimenting with heightened colour and how to apply it.
It will start with small painted sketches of landscape, seascapes and figures in the environment and then move onto larger colourful expressive pieces. Phil will encourage and guide you to develop and experiment with mark making, to simplify and reduce the space in landscape while exploring surface. You will be encouraged to reconsider composition, ways to reduce the portrayal of space and how to use colour on a variety of surfaces.
