Meet your instructor: John Sowash

John Sowash is a Google Certified Innovator and Trainer who has helped more than 1,300 teachers earn their Google Certification. John is known for his straightforward, practical advice for teaching with technology. John lives in Michigan with his wife and 5 kids. 

Academy Schedule:

LIVE sessions take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1-2:30 PM EST.

• July 8 - Gmail & Google Calendar
• July 10 - Google Drive
• July 13 - Google Docs, Slides, & Drawing
• July 15 - Google Forms
• July 17 - Google Sheets
• July 20 - Exam prep & final tips

What to expect:

• Each live session is hosted using Google Meet (of course!).
• During the live sessions, John Sowash will guide you through a series of interactive activities and demonstrations to help you learn the skills necessary to pass the L1 and L2 educator exams. 
• Attendance at the live sessions is encouraged, but not required. Sessions are recorded and available for on-demand viewing.
• Following each live session, you will receive sample exam questions to practice your skills and a short homework assignment. 

The primary focus for the GCA is the Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. You will also receive detailed information on the Certified Trainer and Innovator programs. We will provide you with EVERYTHING that you need to be successful including exclusive study guides, sample exam content, checklists, and personal support.

Note: The GCA has been updated to reflect recent changes to the Google Educator exam. You'll learn about "ProctorU", the new testing system being used for the L1 and L2 test.
