Communigrow in East Malling - HomeEd Taster Session - for young people with additional needs not attending school

Communigrow in East Malling is a relaxed outdoor learning environment that deliver regular home education sessions. We regularly visit Communigrow for our holiday sessions, and we have asked them if we can hold a special taster session before their Home Ed groups begin in September, as we think lots of our members could benefit from enrolling - and they currently have spaces!

Our taster session is just one hour next Monday 7th September at 1:30pm to 2:30pm and is aimed at 4-10 year olds and also 11-17 year olds . 

This would be a really good opportunity to get together young people who are not attending school for whatever reason or are home educated. It is also an opportunity to have fun and learn more about one of our favourite services and help you and your child become familiar with what HomeEd session there would be like.

There will be refreshments and a space for parent carers to relax if young people are feeling comfortable with letting their parent carers chill while they explore!

This is not a funded project so we are asking for a minimum contribution of £5 per child, parent and carers are free.

Our manager Fiona and Children and Young Person Coordinator Kiera will support you and your young people. 

Please note that this is not a drop and leave event and your children will remain your responsibility so you must stay on site. We have limited booking to 1 adult/carer per child as this will be a small, intimate group of around 20 young people and parent/carers, and we want to maximise the opportunity for as many families as possible. If you need to bring an additional adult to help please contact us to discuss.

This is an outdoor event which will take place no matter what the weather but please dress for all weathers!
