Description
"On the Other Hand" is a solo movement-theater piece about the connections between gender and gesture. Ranging from whimsical to vulnerable, each vignette features a different side of my personal connections to transness and the limits of language: complete with robots, clowning, lectures, and big suits!
- Choreographer: Lou Sydel
Show type: Dance
Tickets $20 /$25 at the door
This performance includes On The Other Hand, Traces, and The Promises. Shows may not be presented in that order.
Spark Theatre Festival NYC - Fall 2024
March 4 - March 24, 2024
All performances take place at the 28th Street Theater (aka TADA!)
Emerging Artists Theatre (EAT) returns with their one-of-a-kind Spark Theatre Festival NYC, allowing artists of different disciplines to present one performance of a polished "work-in-progress" with audience feedback. Visit the theater any evening during this three-week event, and you'll find yourself transported in a number of surprising ways: by a single performer embodying a whole host of characters, by a more experimental theater piece "done differently" that challenges and delights, by a cozy two-person show exploring relationships; or perhaps by a bouncy new musical that will have you humming. Emerging Artists has always been about new works, new talents, and new voices. That's never been more evident than now.
NO REFUNDS will be granted.
