Chain Theatre, 10018
Description
Earth ("Kun") represents the earth in ancient China and is a traditional symbol of motherhood and femininity. This piece comments on Earth, which gives birth to everything and embraces all growth, is resilient, nurtures love, and reinvents itself. I also incorporate one of the five elements of ancient China, which is the source of qi and blood biochemistry. Through physical expansion, connection, and mobility, the work embodies the "earth" of people in the spiritual world.

Emerging Artists Theatre (EAT) returns with their one-of-a-kind Spark Theatre Festival NYC, allowing artists of different disciplines to present one performance of a polished "work-in-progress" with audience feedback. Visit the theater any evening during this three-week event, and you'll find yourself transported in a number of surprising ways: by a single performer embodying a whole host of characters, by a more experimental theater piece "done differently" that challenges and delights, by a cozy two-person show exploring relationships; or perhaps by a bouncy new musical that will have you humming. Emerging Artists has always been about new works, new talents, and new voices. That's never been more evident than now.
NO REFUNDS will be granted.
