Mahjong Social Mini-Tournament

This Social Mini-Tournament is for people that already know how to play Mahjong and want to enjoy a little friendly competition and socializing.  The tournament is designed so that participants can have fun playing and meeting new people with the added challenge of earning as many points as possible.  Prizes will be awarded.

How the Social Tournament will work:

• We will play three 20-minute rounds.  Every table starts at the same time and plays for the allotted 20 minutes or until someone makes Mahjong - whichever comes first.  If there is a winner, they earn the points for the line they made, with a 10-point bonus for a jokerless hand, and/or a 10-point bonus for a self-drawn Mahjong.
• If no one wins Mahjong within the 20 minutes, then it is considered a Wall game and all participants at that table earn 10 points.
• For Rounds 2 & 3, participants will move to a different table (tournament host will indicate where you'll move to at the start of each round) and begin another 20-minute round.  Same rules as Round 1.
• After all 3 rounds are played, score sheets will be gathered and points tallied.  Prizes will then be awarded!

All levels are welcome but you must know the basics of how to play.  SPOTS ARE LIMITED - SIGN UP EARLY!

Please bring your NMJL card to play with!

Participation in the tournament is FREE but you must have a RallyFest admission ticket.

RallyFest begins a 6PM.  Be sure to arrive in time to enjoy all the amazing things this event has to offer!  Please report to the Mahjong area by 7:50PM so that the Mini-Tournament can start promptly at 8PM.
