Speak Easy London: THIS THURSDAY. Ideas worth spreading, but with a pint in hand. 🍻
Looking for something better to do this Thursday night than infinite Instagram scrolling?
Welcome to the inaugural Speak Easy. We take the world's most brilliant minds, put them on the cozy stages of London's best pubs, and tackle the biggest questions of our time. No boring lectures, no stuffy auditoriums - just world-class experts, mind-expanding ideas, and a great night out with fellow curious minds.
🚨 URGENT: We are over 90% sold out for our launch event this Thursday! Grab your tickets now before the final seats are gone.
The Core Problem: We live in a world that is technologically advanced but biologically ancient. While our software updates every week, our brains are still running on hardware evolved for small tribes and forest floors.
This Thursday, May 14th, join us at The Hen & Chickens Theatre Bar as two incredible experts help us reclaim our humanity from the algorithms and mental junk food:
🎤 TALK 1: Putting Your Feed on the Couch With Dr. Aaron Balick (Psychotherapist & Author) What would Sigmund Freud make of our social media habits? Dr. Balick takes us on a fast, funny, and uncomfortably familiar journey into what our digital lives are actually doing to our brains. Learn how digital platforms hijack our need for validation, and what we can actually do to take back control.
🎤 TALK 2: Escaping the "Mental Junk Food" Diet With Dr. Pippa Grange (Psychologist & Culture Coach) Fun fact: Dr. Grange was the Head of People for the FA who transformed the culture of the England Football Team during their historic 2018 World Cup run! Your mind is currently starving on a diet of "mental junk food." Dr. Grange will introduce you to the "Psychological Microbiome" and teach you how to stop treating your body like an Uber for your head, so you can start building psychological firebreaks.
What to Expect This Thursday
