Spectrum Chamber Music Society is excited to present our third annual end-of-season fundraising event, which begins with a concert of beautiful, well-known American music and ends with a sweet outdoor reception.
Our program begins with an arrangement of George Gershwin’s peppy, “Walking The Dog” Promenade, followed by the deeply affecting Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber. The final piece on the concert is the suite from the seminal ballet, Appalachian Spring by Aaron Copland in its original instrumentation for thirteen instruments, in an ensemble helmed by Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster, Michael Shih. Our special guest will be Maestro Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Music Director Emeritus of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, who will conduct the Barber and Copland pieces.
After the concert, those who purchase the full ticket package will go out to the beautiful garden courtyard of First United Methodist Church for a delicious dessert reception with the musicians and the maestro. Since it will practically be summer, we think this is a refreshing way to end our 37th season.
Consider becoming a sponsor for this event. The sponsorship levels are represented by beautiful Appalachian spring flowers, and come with various perks, including admission to the concert and reception, V.I.P. seating, public recognition at the event and in the program…even tickets for our house concert raffle. And if you become a sponsor at the Gray’s Lily Level ($1,000+), you’ll get an extra special surprise gift from Spectrum!
Join us as we celebrate music of beloved American composers!
