Room to Read is a globally recognised charity dedicated to eradicating illiteracy and gender inequality in education. Since its inception in 2000, Room to Read has transformed the lives of millions of children in developing countries by focusing on two critical areas: literacy and gender equality in education. Event Details: 

Our good friends at Studio 25 Maribyrnong have arranged a variety of family-friendly activities to combat the cold these school holidays in the spacious HIIT room from 2:00 - 5:00pm, including fun obstacles, games, and challenges to enhance the fun and festive atmosphere. In the main reformer pilates studio, we will feature inspirational speeches, delicious food, and community-building activities.

At 3:00 PM, join us for an exclusive panel discussion with some of our outstanding tutors. These remarkable individuals started their journeys as Spectrum Tuition students, gaining entry into selective schools or securing full scholarships, and have now returned as dedicated tutors. They’ll share their personal experiences, the hurdles they overcame, and the strategies that led to their success. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear how they are now inspiring the next generation of students.

Official speeches will begin at 5:00 pm with Thuy Pham, the author outlining her journey as detailed in Kaleidoscope. There will also be special guest speakers, including Amanda Walker, co-founder of Lord of the Fries. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to ask questions and interact with our special guests.

The event is free to attend and attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of the book during the event. Proceeds from book sales will be donated to the Room to Read charity.
