Concert: Peace Eternal

Join us for Peace Eternal, a moving concert of sacred music exploring themes of love, loss, remembrance and hope.

At the heart of the programme is Matthew Coleridge’s deeply affecting Requiem, a work of great warmth and consolation, accompanied by organ and featuring solo cello. Framing this central work is a beautiful selection of choral music by Elgar, Fauré, Mendelssohn, Ireland and Rutter, including Fauré’s luminous Cantique de Jean Racine, Ireland’s powerful Greater Love Hath No Man, and Rutter’s much-loved The Lord bless you and keep you.

The evening will also feature Fauré’s haunting Élégie for cello and piano, adding an intimate moment of reflection before the stillness and beauty of the Requiem.

A thoughtful and uplifting programme, Peace Eternal offers an evening of music to soothe, inspire and gently illuminate.
