IN 2025, TWO SIGNATURE PROJECTS TO BENEFIT A NEW GENERATION
In addition to providing scholarships and community grants, the Southern Pines Garden Club (SPGC) committed funds raised through their April 5th Home & Garden Tour to support a comprehensive plan to restore the Campbell House grounds to their original design and to establish an enriching landscape for the Moore Montessori Community School’s historic Voss Hall. One project serves to underscore the club’s long and treasured history with the Campbell House and the Arts Council of Moore County, and one builds on the storied legacy of SPGC’s founding members who installed the Southern Pines campus’ original landscaping in 1949.
Through generations of service, SPGC members have not flagged in their commitment to upholding the quality of our shared environment while also nurturing community practices of horticultural excellence. We are proud to stand on the shoulders of the passionate, engaged women who first established these priorities. Today’s SPGC members are humbled by the community’s enthusiastic year-over-year support of the Home & Garden Tour. It is that confidence that has enabled our work to flourish over the last 77 years with the overarching goal of benefitting generations to come.

About the Southern Pines Garden Club
Since its founding in 1948, the Southern Pines Garden Club has been active in the cultural landscape of the Sandhills. “Knees in the dirt” members established the mature trees and shrubs that now define the downtown Southern Pines landscape, and their voices shaped the preservation and development of the exceptional standards that the town enjoys today. Throughout the organization’s rich history, their generosity has elevated the community through countless beautification projects and educational opportunities. Our membership is dedicated to building on this worthwhile legacy. www.southernpinesgardenclub.com
