Following the success of the previous three years, West Somerset Quakers are kindly hosting an Intergenerational, day visitor & camping event, supported by Quaker Life staff from the region. It is being held at ‘Spiceland’, on the Devon-Somerset border. It is open to Quakers and those wishing to know more about Quakers. It is a regional event for those living in Somerset, Wiltshire, West Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.

Book for one day or across the whole settlement ...
The programme will be flexible with varied activities and plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings.
There will be opportunities for spiritual exploration, games, crafts, singing & dancing, quiet worship and outdoor activities - for adults and children.

For those wanting to arrive on Sunday - Camp site will be available from 5pm but no organised activities

Thursday morning - site break up and packing by 1.30pm.

Further information (frequently asked questions; pre-arrival information, programme overview) viewable here: https://files.quaker.app/yqzh3z

Important note about bookings: this year we are issuing tickets for:

  • each day's activities including refreshments & meals (i.e. being on site during the day)
  • camping each night (i.e. staying on site nightime)

This means that if you are intending to camp, please be sure to book BOTH  day tickets and camping tickets.

Basic Activity Programme ~ can be viewed here: Programme - pictorial overview.pdf

Please note that this is a draft programme and it may change because of the weather and unforeseen circumstances such as availability of those running the sessions. We are planning where possible to offer a main activity, a specific offering for families if the main offering doesn't lend itself to being all-age, and a quiet/reflective option each day.
If you have specific questions about the programme, please email JacB@quaker.org.uk
