SMF26 - Sunday - Landless with Eimear Reidy

Sunday 22nd November
Doors: 3pm
Music: 3:30pm

Spilt Milk is delighted to welcome back Landless to the festival after playing the first edition back in 2019.

Landless are Lily Power, Méabh Meir, Ruth Clinton and Sinéad Lynch.

The Irish quartet sings centuries-old ballads as well as more recently penned folk songs. Sometimes unaccompanied and at times with subtle instrumentation, their vocally rich music is dark and patient; spellbinding and gorgeous.

Eimear Reidy is an experimental musician and improvising cellist with a composition practice focused both on new music for solo cello and collaborative composing with her fellow musicians and sound artists. Reidy’s work focuses on the rigorous exploration and development of extended cello techniques, combined with the occasional use of electronics, field recordings and objects creating a broad expressive palette.
