An Evening with Bryan Gunn and Rob Newman

Two Canaries legends will take a trip down memory lane once again as we bring our Evening with Bryan Gunn and Rob Newman to Norwich.

The Hall of Famers will relive the club's iconic UEFA Cup run of 1993/94 while providing golden insight into one of the most memorable spells at Carrow Road. Match footage will take the pair, and the crowd, on a beautiful trip down memory lane as the pair discuss life at the top end of the Premier League and how it felt as the Yellows' fortunes declined.

Both provide heartfelt and educated thoughts on their life after retiring - including Gunn's short-lived spell as Norwich manager - before taking questions from the floor about a whole host of topics. Expect laughs, emotion, opinions and some surprises along the way during a Sporting Knight that no City fan will want to miss!

Ticket details

Standard entry costs £20 while VIP entry is £40. A booking fee of £1.50-per-ticket to cover online fees will apply.

VIP ticket entry includes: 

• GUARANTEED seating in the front rows
• MEET AND GREET with Gunn and Newman in a designated VIP area 
• One PROFESSIONAL digital photo with Gunn and/or Newman (emailed within seven days of the event)
• One item SIGNED by Gunn and/or Newman (this can be something of your own, or that is provided by Sporting Knights)

Please note, the dedicated VIP access (which includes the meet and greet and photo opportunity) is only available from 6.15-7.15pm. Gunn and Newman may spend some additional time in the designed VIP area during breaks in the show but this is not guaranteed.

Standard ticket entry: Seats are allocated on a first come first served basis.

Terms & Conditions

Event: An Evening with Bryan Gunn and Rob Newman

Event date: Friday October 2, 2026

Venue: Mercure Norwich Hotel, Norwich

The following terms and conditions will apply to all tickets for the Event:

1. Any ticket remains the property of Sporting Knights. Tickets may not be transferred, sold, offered for sale, coupled or bundled with any other product or services, or used for any commercial or promotional purposes whatsoever without the consent of Sporting Knights.

2. Sporting Knights will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that the Event starts and finishes on the times notified.

3. No refunds or exchanges will be offered in respect of tickets purchased unless the Event is cancelled. All tickets are not transferable to any other events and are strictly not for resale.

4. If this ticket is used in breach of these terms it is void and the holder may be refused entry to, or ejected, from the Event.

5. All tickets are to be purchased through Sporting Knights or the Ticket Tailor ticket-selling platform website. Any attempt to present any other ticket may lead to refusal of admission and possible prosecution.

6. Please keep this ticket safe as a duplicate ticket will not be issued if it is lost or stolen and a defaced or illegible ticket may become invalidated.

7. A VIP ticket will guarantee the ticket holder reserved seating in the front rows. These are not named or numbered.  Any other benefits attached to a VIP ticket will be notified separately. Seats for non VIP ticket holders are allocated on a first come first served basis. In certain circumstances (and subject to the Venue’s obligation to make reasonable adjustments) a non VIP ticket holder may be asked to stand although reasonable efforts will be made to ensure seating for all ticket holders.

8. Sporting Knights and the Venue Owner reserve the right to refuse admission and to remove persons from the Venue for any reason where it is deemed necessary including (but not limited to) for abusive and disruptive behaviour or behaviour that otherwise (in the reasonable opinion of Sporting Knights or the Venue Owner) adversely effects the Event. The Venue Owner reserves the right to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of persons at the Event.

9. The use of photographic equipment at the Event is allowed for private purposes only. All other recording and any transmission is prohibited including (without limitation) recording of any data, information or results of or relating to the Event and any participant. As a condition of entry to the Event you assign (by way of a present assignment of future copyright) the copyright in any photographs or recordings you make at the Event to Sporting Knights.

10. Sporting Knights reserves the right to film, record and/or take images of the Event and to distribute the same on any media for commercial purposes.

11. Sporting Knights is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage, howsoever caused, to a ticket holder and/or their property whilst attending the Event

12. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the Venue from to time in force to include the list of any prohibited items.

13. No unauthorised trading is permitted within the Venue.

14. In the interests of public safety, Sporting Knights and the Venue Owner reserve the right to request a ticket holder to leave the Venue at any time for safety reasons or immediately after the Event. No admission or re-admission is permitted after the end of the Event.

15. The venue has disabled access. In the event of any ticket holder suffering from a disability, they are requested to promptly notify Sporting Knights in advance of the Event of any reasonable adjustments that may be required to be made at the Venue. Sporting Knights will then notify the Venue Owner – the implementation of any adjustments so notified are a matter for the Venue Owner.

16. Sporting Knights reserves the right to stage prize-winning 'games' and sell memorabilia or merchandise at the event at its discretion, be it through its own means or via a third party.

17. Ticket-holders are eligible for a Mercure Norwich Hotel offer on the day of the Event only (Friday October 2). This is an £89 bed and breakfast stay. Email events@mercurenorwich.co.uk to book AFTER you've purchased tickets for the event. 

18. A ticket holder’s statutory rights are not affected by any of the above.
