Sport Nova Scotia - Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Accessibility in Sport Conference

Sport Nova Scotia is hosting the 2025 Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Accessibility Conference at The Prince George Hotel in Halifax, NS on November 14th and 15th.

Friday, November 14th

Breakfast will be available by 8:30am, followed by an Opening Keynote centred on diverse experiences in sport. The main sessions of the day will be a variety of Breakout Sessions focused on topics such as Supporting Deaf Athletes, Trans & Non-Binary Athletes in Sport, and Identifying Discrimination in the Heat of the Moment, along with two Panel Discussions: one covering the Athlete Experience and the other highlighting what a Successful EDIA Program Looks like. We will be providing lunch on site, along with food for snack breaks. The day will end with a networking social to give attendees a chance to connect and chat in a more informal setting, ending at 6:30pm

Saturday, November 15th

Breakfast for the second day will be available at 8:30am, followed by our Day Two Keynote on the Para Experience. This will be a day full of Parasport specific sessions and Panel Discussions focusing on working with athletes with disabilities, how to create successful Parasport programs, and how we can collectively support progress in the area. Snacks and lunch will be served, with the day ending at 1:00pm.
