Red October 2026: A Conference of Socialist Ideas in Action

War, climate chaos, trade conflicts, a rising cost of living and attacks on public services. The capitalist world order is growing less stable by the day. For most working-class people, this moment has provoked feelings of frustration, anger, and despair. It is clear that socialists need to join together and strategize to build working class unity and power to combat the reactionary right and fight for a socialist alternative.

Come to Spring’s fourth annual "Red October: A Conference of Socialist Ideas in Action," on October 30th, 31st, and November 1st at the Toronto Metropolitan University Student Centre in downtown Toronto (North and East of Dundas Station) to connect with likeminded socialists from across the Canadian state.

The conference will include sessions on the history of various social movements, the Black radical tradition, socialist strategy,  lessons from working class struggles and profiles on revolutionary activists and thinkers. There will be 30 different sessions through the course of the weekend.
