Emotion in Motion with Ali James

Imagine the setting… a simple space with a box, an apple (or any other single thing), and a one word suggestion from the audience. How much could you and your team make happen with just those three things for inspiration?

Forget talking heads and get physical and emotional in this workshop designed to reduce internal (and external!) chatter and increase theatrical storytelling. Enter a space where Ali encourages zero judgement of others and (sometimes transformationally) yourself. When we strip away the distraction of internal dialogue and focus on building together truly moment to moment, we can make magic.

Ali James is a performer, movement director and core cast member of the Olivier Award-winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical. She spent 17 years touring the UK, cruise ships and the West End as a musical theatre performer before falling in love with improv. She is also a member of the legendary Comedy Store Players and co-directs London's 50-Hour Improvathon. As a teacher she is known for high-energy physically engaging sessions that meet people where they are and push them beyond it.
