As Europe continues to pursue its climate objectives, the transition towards an energy system largely powered by renewable sources is increasingly recognised as a strategic pathway to greater energy independence and resilience. Achieving this transformation, however, requires substantial investments in enabling infrastructure, including electricity grids, energy storage solutions, smart systems and other technologies essential to support a reliable and sustainable energy mix. In this context, the Italian Sustainable Investment Forum is organising a European-focused webinar within the framework of the SRI Weeks 2026 and in connection with ESGeneration Italy, the Italian reference of the global network of Financial Centers for Sustainability (FC4S) promoting sustainable finance worldwide.

The event will focus on how sustainable investors can help finance the infrastructure required for Europe's energy transition and contribute to the development of a more autonomous, resilient and low-carbon energy system. The webinar aims to identify challenges, opportunities and best practices for mobilising sustainable finance in support of Europe's long-term climate, energy, and strategic objectives.

The event is promoted by ESGeneration Italy, the Italian Network for Global Sustainable Finance. ESGeneration Italy has been launched in 2021 by Borsa Italiana (Italian Stock Exchange), the Italian Sustainable Investment Forum (ItaSIF) and the Italian Banking Insurance and Finance Federation (FeBAF) and it is part of FC4S.
