Need help?
Our four Transition Workshops will run after school with each event focusing on a different one of our school motto – 'Work With Love'.
Pupils will be able to sign up to one workshop per week. We encourage all pupils to attend all four Monday sessions to gain the full experience.
Please arrive at 3.30pm for the workshop which will be delivered from 3.45pm to 4.45pm.
Below are further details on the activities available for Monday 7 July 2025:
Please note: Only book one activity from the list below for the day.
'Work' motto:
- Biology: 🦜 Nature's Beak-Crafting: The Evolution Challenge! 🌿🔧 – Why does a hawk have a sharp, hooked beak while a duck’s is flat and wide? In Nature’s Beak-Crafting, you’ll become an evolutionary biologist and explore how bird beaks have changed over time to suit different diets and habitats. Through hands-on challenges and fun experiments, you'll test different "beaks" to discover which works best for cracking seeds, catching insects, or scooping water. It's survival of the fittest — and the most cleverly designed beak!
- The Stocky Maths Challenge – A chance to get together with your alge-bros and battle your peers in a maths quiz!
'With' motto:
- DT: Key Rings – Design and make a simple key ring to take away and use. Using simple tools and acrylic.
- English: My Family and Other Animals – What is your family really like? Finally get to say all the things you never dared about them in this fun activity of writing a metaphor poem about your nearest and dearest (and most annoying).
'Love' motto:
- Chaplaincy: Marble Art – Come and make colourful creations with marbles and paint in our outdoor space!
- Art: Mono-printing with Colour – How create an effective and colourful print of a shoe or trainer by using oil pastels and drawing over an existing image.
We look forward to welcoming your child to our school.
Booking closes Friday 4 July at 10am.
