Year 6 into Year 7 Transition Workshop Day 4

Our four Transition Workshops will run after school with each event focusing on a different one of our school motto – 'Work With Love'.

Pupils will be able to sign up to one workshop per week. We encourage all pupils to attend all four Monday sessions to gain the full experience.

Please arrive at 3.30pm for the workshop which will be delivered from 3.45pm to 4.45pm.

'Work' motto:

• The Garden: Roots and Shoots – Ways I am connected to the human family in the world.
• IT: Robotics in Computing – Join us for an exciting adventure where you'll discover how computer science is changing the world! And guess what? You’ll get to learn how to program an Edison Bot!

'With' motto:

• Drama: Games – A variety of group games and activities exploring teamwork and character.
• 🏏 Diamond Cricket – A fast-paced, high-energy game that’s perfect for making new friends and having a laugh! Sports clothing and trainers needed.
• Taekwondo – This fun and engaging session is a great opportunity for students to try something new, build confidence, improve focus, and develop self-discipline — all while learning the basics of this dynamic martial art. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to have a go and get involved!

'Love' motto:

• Love from The Hub – Making a macrame keyring/ making new friends.
• Chemistry: 🧪 Colour-Changing Chemistry: Become a pH Detective! 🔍🌈 – Step into the shoes of a real scientist in this explosive (not literally!) chemistry taster session! You’ll create your very own magical red cabbage indicator and use it to uncover the secret identities of everyday substances — are they acids, bases, or somewhere in between? Watch colours transform before your eyes and unlock the colourful code of chemistry. If you love colour, science, and a bit of mystery, this is the session for you!
