The School of Sustainable Floristry | @schoolofsustainablefloristry | www.schoolofsustainablefloristry.co.uk :
The School of Sustainable Floristry is a floristry school with a difference. Simply put, we are on a mission to reimagine how floristry is taught and practiced.
Located on a flower farm within a historic walled garden just outside Bedford—allowing our students to be directly connected to their medium—we teach an approach to floristry that is led by the seasons, by the flowers themselves, and with a more untamed naturalistic style of floral design that is always underpinned by sustainable mechanics.
Wetherly | @_wetherly_ | wetherly.co.uk :
Wetherly is a British flower studio founded by Olivia Wilson specialising in sustainable floristry consultancy as well as weddings, events and styling. Understated or extravagant, my flowers are considered both ethically and aesthetically.
About the exhibition:
Staffordshire St presents Flowers on the Edge, an exhibition that aims to push the boundaries of sustainable floral design, shining a spotlight on emerging season-led floral designers and locally grown flowers. Running from 20–22 June 2025 at Staffordshire St in Peckham, eight up-and-coming floral designers and artists will each create a unique installation. Displayed on a minimal plinth, each piece will demonstrate their innovative and artistic approach to floral design, using only locally grown flowers and sustainable mechanics.
Accessibility: There is step-free access to the gallery via the door to the left hand side of the main entrance. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet. The event will be taking place in the exhibition space, which is a large open room with bright lighting and some seating available.
Staffordshire St is an independent project space in Peckham, South East London. The venue facilitates arts and cultural events and provides affordable studios for artists, makers and designers.
Staffordshire St is not-for-profit and all income is invested into developing our public programme which launched the summer of 2022. The venue was established as an art gallery in 2017, before then it was vacant for many years after a community centre closed. Originally it was built as a Methodist Hall. We intend to support a range of cultural events for the local community.
Staffordshire St will build on the established record of these histories, opening up again to the neighbourhood and developing a welcoming interdisciplinary arts space. More information on upcoming events at : info@staffordshirest.com or @staffordshirest
